Hello, I’m Ali! 👋

I’m an award-winning freelance designer and illustrator based in the Cotswolds.

My work is narrative-driven, and I love working in a range of styles to tell stories through visual narratives… which is probably why I ended up designing covers for books, eh? While I work across a range of genres from sci-fi & fantasy to literary and mass-market fiction, my focus is always on translating thoughtful and impactful stories through beautiful design & illustration.

Having grown up in the Middle East, I was surrounded by a mixture of cultures and experiences which has helped mould my visual vocabulary and point of view as a creative. After leaving Med School to pursue Design in the UK, I was able to flourish and put that creative point of view to the test.

Since graduating from Bath Spa University with a Vice Chancellor’s Award for Design Student of the Year, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of international publishers, as well as receiving a coveted D&AD New Blood Yellow Pencil for my creative brand identity project.

Represented by the lovely Clare Wallace at Darley Anderson Illustration Agency.
If you have any cool projects you need help with, book covers or otherwise, then do give my agent Clare Wallace a shout!
